Q. I’m a 28-year-old male, and I’ve never had much of a sex drive. I recently learned from a family member that my mother, believing it curbed sexual appetite, dosed my brother and me with a spoonful or two of saltpeter each day.

I was prescribed a new medicine, and I realized that it is causing me to have a nasty taste in my mouth and my husband says I have bad breath. I constantly brush my teeth and use mouthwash and chew gum, but it doesn’t go away. I can’t stop taking the prescription. Has anyone else had this problem with medicine, and did you find a solution?
