My cat is a stray I found about two weeks ago. He has really bad breath and also smells in general.?

I found this cat and he was a very calm cat that was very sweet. I brought him home but then I started to notice that his breath smelled bad and his body in general just smelled. Also when he first came home he just layed around and slept for the first two days or so. He has been more playful lately but now it is more aggressive with biting and scratching. I am not sure what to do about it.
