uh duh. you’re inhaling molecules of decomposing body!
Its hard not to, Because you don’t want to smell it I know it takes time to get it off your clothes and skin and face,Been there and done that,
not neccessarily bad for you, i mean unless the person had a disease that could become airborne, it won’t hurt you. But, the smell is very nasty.
Call the health department and let them handle it.
No, the smell itself is not dangerous except that it is terribly nauseating. You could gag and/or vomit or, as some have done, faint, but it will not cause you physical harm. Your mind may be affected by the idea that you have breathed in the “smell of death,” and you may have some psychological reactions, but those are likely to be mild and temporary.
Now, if you have actually taken in some of the bodily fluids or other corporeal debris, you might be at risk for infection. The intake could be by ingestion (accidental, we presume) or accidental subcutaneous or introduction through veins, but those are unlikely occurrences.
